WHO – On November 23, 2004, Doug Perry had a vision from God of how angry He was at “churchianity” and the blackness over the USA that was spreading all over the world. It wrecked his life and he’s been going 200 miles an hour with his hair on fire ever since. Soon after, God gave him a picture of an internet communication system for every city everywhere and how it could connect the church and restore “daily and from house to house” digitally.

So for 20 years he prayed and tried – and met other people that had heard to build the exact same thing. But now is the time and Liberty, Missouri is the place.

WHAT
– CitySaver.org is a gift from The Church of Liberty to the world. It’s a outgrowth of the “Open Letter of Apology to the World” (read HERE) where Doug Perry acknowledged his part in helping build a religious system that hurt people and committing to gathering other like-minded people and trying to do something different. Instead of stained glass and pipe organs, he started a homeless shelter and food pantry. As he says, “No Steeple, Just People.”

CitySaver is a nonprofit outreach from the Church of Liberty designed to support local business, local causes, be a communication point and help build the local community. It’s an effort to give back to our neighbors what we have stolen in all the years we built cathedrals and cared about ourselves. One click away is CitySavior where the Church can fellowship, share, resource and get outside of their artificial boxes and walls.

It’s not a place to argue about theology. It’s a place to DO the things on His heart. The last prayer of Jesus before going to the Cross was the we would be One as He and the Father are One – because that would PROVE to the “world” that He was who He said He was. If He is our Lord, are we praying in agreement with Him on that? Do we even want to be One? Is there anything more important?

Maybe if we just focused on “I was hungry and you fed me, I was naked and you clothed me…” we could at least all agree on that.

WHY – Because it’s time, because it’s necessary, because we have lost Mayberry (that’s “The Andy Griffith Show” for the Millennials) and the idea of a neighbor bringing you a pie or even knowing your name. Because it’s the cry of our hearts for community and love and fellowship and kindness – and we’re not getting it from gaming online and being on our phones and trying to kill everyone that disagrees with us.

We’re doing this because we love you. Sincerely and with our whole life. We’re staffed by volunteers or people that don’t make money unless they generate it. We are not a corporation, there are no shareholders, there are no dividends. The goal is to generate enough money to cover expenses so that we can keep doing this.

This is a different animal altogether. We’re on a mission from God to bless you. And to restore community in our cities and in the church.

(And we don’t trust governments of Man so we’re pretty much not tracking anything about you except what you logged in with. We’re not selling your information to anybody – EVER. And if we get subpoenaed, well we’re a church, your local Lead CityServant is an ordained minister, there is such a thing as pastoral privilege, you’re ALL our “members,” and we think the Constitution has some protections built in for that. CitySaver is an arm of The Church of Liberty which is an “unregistered church” as the IRS describes it – not a 501(c)(3) – so we have no reporting requirements. That’s on purpose. We will ZEALOUSLY (like we were on a mission from God) protect you and your privacy!)
